Full question(s):
I am using the AM0805 and planning to operate at 2.4 V power supply voltage. I am concerned about the threshold voltage of the I2C ports when operating at VDD= 2.4 V. Is the I2C input threshold voltage what is referred to as VT+ and VT- in Table 6 "Operating Parameters" on page 16 of the "AM08X5 Datasheet"? What would be the value of VT+ and VT- when VDD is 2.4V?
Answer(s):
That is correct. The input threshold levels were validated at 1.8 V and 3.0 V, but the threshold for VDD =2.4 V can be extrapolated from this data. Extrapolated thresholds for VDD = 2.4 V are as shown in the table below. Note that all inputs include Schmitt Triggers.
Operating parameters at 2.4 V extrapolated from available data at 3.0 V and 1.8 V:
Symbol | Parameter Name | VDD | MIN | TYP | MAX
VT+ | Positive-going Input Threshold Voltage | 2.4 V | 1.3 V | 1.65 V
VT- | Negative-going Input Threshold Voltage | 2.4 V | 0.65 V | 0.75 V |
