Full question(s):
What is the max STIMER clock and how is it selected?
Is the max STIMER clock (F_HFRC/16 = 3 MHz) as described in Table 790 of the Apollo2 Datasheet also applicable when CTIMER is used as the clock source?
Answer(s):
The maximum input clock for the STIMER is F_HFRC/16 MHz = 3 MHz (STCFG_CLKSEL = HFRC_DIV16).
When the STIMER clock source is selected to be CTIMER0A or CTIMER0B, the clock source is what is selected as the CTIMER0 clock source, i.e., CTRL0_TMRA0CLK or CTRL0_TMRB0CLK, respectively. CTIMER0A or CTIMER0B determines the prescaler for the CTIMER0 clock.
