Full question(s):
I am concerned about a possible voltage drop due to sudden current consumption when auto-calibration is executed. In Table 8 of the AM18x5 Datasheet, Ivcc_acal is specified as typ 22 nA (3.0 V), and in Table 3 "Auto-calibration Current" of Application Note "AN0002_AM08X5 / AM18X5 Family Auto-calibration", Ivcc_acal is specified as 19 nA (ACP = 512). My understanding is that the above data is the average value of the period during which only RC is active and the RC and XT of the auto-calibration are both active. How much current is consumed only during the period when RC and XT are both active during auto-calibration?
Answer(s):
The additional current due to the auto-calibration logic running will only be 10’s of nAs more.
