Full question(s):
When operating the AMx805 at 2.4 V power supply voltage, what is the threshold voltage of the I2C ports? I assume that the I2C input threshold voltage is Vt+, Vt- described in "Table 6: Operating Parameters" on page 16 of "AM08X5 Datasheet".
1.) Is my assumption correct?
2.) What are the values of Vt+ and Vt- when Vcc is 2.4V.
Answer(s):
Assumption is correct.
All inputs include Schmitt Triggers. The input threshold levels were validated at 1.8V and 3.0V, but the threshold for Vdd of 2.4V can be extrapolated from this data.
Extrapolated thresholds for Vdd=2.4V are:
- VT+ 1.3V typ, 1.65V max
- VT- 0.75V typ, 0.65V min
Operating parameters at 2.4V extrapolated from available data at 3.0V and 1.8V:
Vcc | MIN | TYP | MAX | |||
VT+ | Positive-Going Input Threshold Voltage | 2.4V | 1.3V | 1.65V
VT- | Negative-Going Input Threshold Voltage | 2.4V | 0.65V | 0.75V |
