Full question(s):
1.) Is it possible to increase the operating frequency of the MCU by raising the power supply voltage of the part operating with SPOT?
2.) Is it possible for the user to set the voltage of the SPOT area for each of Apollo1, 2 and 3?
Answer(s):
1.) The operating frequency and core operating voltage is determined by extensive simulation and validation, and are tuned/trimmed by Ambiq. It is not supported to raise the core voltage/frequency.
2.) It is not possible for user to set the voltage of SPOT area for Apollo1, 2, or 3. However, Apollo3 has a "turboSPOT" mode which will raise the core voltage to a higher voltage and raise the core frequency to 96 MHz. As what might be expected, this turboSPOT mode is not as power efficient as the SPOT mode which is fixed at 48 MHz.
